Having actually read some of these light novels, including the two in question, I can tell you that they are not the same and they do end up differentiating themselves.
I think the problem is more so the anime medium and the way these works are adapted. Most of these "generic" light novels get one 13 episode run that covers the first few volumes, and considering some of these light novels will end up running for 20-30 volumes you cannot get an accurate assessment of the story the anime adaptions. I am not going to say each one of these is a masterpiece, nor will I say the don't share heavy elements, who would have thought that a genre has commonplace elements, but some of you people need to either chill or move on. Also for the record, you completely trashing something and then saying you will watch it for an arbitrary reason doesn't exactly inspire many to think your opinion has any kind of value, because your time certainly doesn't as you have enough of it to do things you don't like. |
