One can only hope that how the novels will end will go according to the late author's plan.

I was hoping this would happen. That someone would step up to the plate. FO-Zero is just too good to not end abruptly.

I still remember staring at my bedroom window when I heard of the authors passing as Zero was one of the first Tsundere style animes I watched back in 2008. I even read a great deal of the novel.

I hope it reaches to a nicely settled ending and the author can truly rest in peace.

With this exciting news, I wish someone would license the novels so we could have the true story in its completion. I enjoyed the anime but only season 1 + 2 covered the novels. It's a shame as the novels were much, much better. It's definitely a B series in terms of grading instead of a C one if the anime had followed the novels all the way through.

Looking at you Seven Seas. Or Yen Press.

Yen Press would be the most likely candidate to license it. Seven Seas won't do it because they have stated that the Light Novel is the failure for them. Best to place your hope on Yen Press (known for licensing many LNs of the series).
