Laughing

I love the Keebler Elf reference. Robin gets some brownie points for that one.

Too bad Nina didn't went into detail about the housing.

"Ernie your going to live in a tree."
"Nina your going to live in a nice apartment."

Jadress could be one of Nina's sempai from the school. Someone she always looked up to and respected. (Which Kevin can totally misinterpret.)

Considering how many people still talk about her, I don't think Jadress should be left out of this fun strip.

maybe Jadress is her long lost mother!!!! Shocked or at least older sister separated at birth.

I agree.

Plus, it is written in the handbook that it is imperative that one's kohei (sp?) MUST be protected from known perverts!

Anyone remember that Kevin offered to show Nina what he learned at the Hentai panel?

^^ Jadress was ANN's mascot a while back, and has since faded and sort of been replaced by Nina. I was thinking of making a passing reference to her in a future strip, but nothing is set in stone yet. But keep an eye peeled.

I cannot wait. There is room for plenty of potential jokes. Like Jadress returning, and finding out how Nina has stolen her role as Mascot. Then, the two of them can have a rivalry, with all the connotations that term involves. Maybe a Full Metal Panic reference with a challenge like the one Tessa and Melissa had to try. Maybe Jadress starts hitting on Kevin, and Nina gets jealous. Ah, okay, maybe not (finds it hard to see how Jadress - or any other female - would find Kevin attractive outside of a dream).

Ahem. Anyway, once again, great comic this week. It appears as if I can look forward to many amusing Wednesdays for years to come.

That was a Joke! Here's proof: animenewsnetwork.com/anime-news-nina/2007-11-21

And if you're interested in Robin's version(s) of Jadress, look here: http://www.jadedsketch.com/images/portfolio/concept/jadstyles.jpg, and Here: http://www.jadedsketch.com/images/portfolio/concept/leylaasucast.jpg.

Oh, what the heck, here's my favorite: http://www.jadedsketch.com/images/portfolio/illustration/markerlove.jpg!

Edited again: Here's Robin's portfolio page ==> http://www.jadedsketch.com/portfolio.htm. Click on the last icon for several images of "Wanderers of Leylaasu". Heck, click everywhere... I'm sure she won't mind... Laughing

So does that mean that there are elves that go to school there that specialize in defending Middle Earth from Mordor? Anime hyper

Great comic yet again, as always. Smile

Must have been the "corner" of my eye, but the Keebler joke (though funny) could be felt coming.

*shakes head* Nope, just felt too dry ... it's never quite as interesting once the big reveal is finally done. Besides, only primary school? Even underpants-gnomes have to get their MBAs.

I'm surprised no one asked this sooner: What's Mika a reference to, if anything? For some reason I keep thinking back to Ferngully, but I know that's wrong.

Maybe there is no higher education, that's why gnomes don't know how to make money off of underpants.

Everybody seems to love the Keebler Elf part. I, too, thought was really funny.

"Oh my God, YES!!", that made me laugh in side a lot, and a little out loud.

"Mika, your calling shall be dinosaurs and paleontology. Ernie, yours shall be cookies"

"Oh my God, Yes!"

So many people have quoted this already, but it's so funny.

BTW, this is my first time here.
