K-On: Zac is completely right on this one. Its nothing but moe, sterotypical characters. I give it a 2 out five like Zac.
Queens Blade: I give it a zero. Despite the fact there is adult characters in the show, its literally nothing but fanservice and nudity. Chi's Sweet Home: I really enjoyed season one and reading the manga. I give this series a three or a four. Out of every series reviewed so far, this series one of the better ones. I can't wait to watch this after completing all of season one. |

I don't know what you guys are talking about, Queen's Blade is definitely ten on ten. It's probably the best show out this season.
Kidding, naturally. I am going to enjoy the hell out of it though (both from the fanservice and the outrageously stupid plot). |

You != everyone. Although it doesn't look like I'll watch Queen's Blade anytime soon, there are some people I know, one among them is a blogger, who refuse to drop any series they've picked up. I don't have a habit of dropping an anime series either. There are reasons why I enjoy watching anime alone. Pretentiousness and obsequiousness always make me sick. |

For people interested in knowing more about Queen's Blade without having to watch the actual show, trying reading this review. Image-heavy with lots of screenshots. Warning: "not safe for work, not safe for home, not safe for mind. enter at your own risk." (as taken from the blog)

People might do with their free time what they want, but I don't believe anyone would read the whole Wheel of Time saga without actually liking it. Also me!=everyone does not make something unfair, just because some people seem to have too much time to watch crappy things. Edit: To make a better comparison: If I eat something, and I don't exactly like it, I eat it nevertheless. Because if not, I am wasting something. If I read something, and I don't like it, I stop reading it (or, as with Otherland, I continue for some strange reason). If I watch an anime and don't like it, why should I not stop watching it? Just because I saw 2-3 episodes of Naruto on TV does not make me morally bound to watch all of it (especially in a most likely illegal way), and I very much doubt that me!=most people proves positive here. |

About Chi's new address:
"But is that genre going to grab viewers by their eyeballs and compel them to watch episode after itty-bitty episode? Probably not, unless they went through the entire 104-episode run of the original Chi. Or if they really care about what'll happen when Chi moves out." A second series was made, wasn't it? That's something of a questionable review, to question something that's already been proven true with a "eh, probably not." I'm sure there are people that will follow this show. I watched the first one, on and off, while I was bored, in between papers or waiting for food to cook. You either have to care about the show, or just be bored alot, for it to be successful. |

To be honest, though, this show aired at like 5 _PM_ M-Th weekdays on a major TV station. It was primarily watched by housewives and their kids, not otaku. So while it definitely was a success over the entire population, I don't think the audience of the preview is the same as the people who watched all of season one (well, there's some overlap among the western otaku, but not really for the Japanese ones). |

Eri Kitamura, Hitomi Nabatame... the list goes on. I thought that this would be epic because of the seiyuu cast, but after watching the first episode, it kind of makes you wonder how they were able to get them. It's equivalent to having all the good hollywood actresses doing softcore porno. |

Once again, the spring preview is not meant to be a full review of every show, just first impressions to weed out what most will find to be utter dreck, praise that which most will really enjoy, and to generally give an idea of what a series is like so you can get some idea of whether you will enjoy it. Queen's Blade's characters may not look like girls, but they don't actually resemble any woman I've ever seen either, I would like more characters that resemble adult women, I wouldn't like that request translated as wanting more characters that resemble barbie or some dude's porntastic fantasies. Zac, I like your very special rating icon. I have only seen the OP and ED to K-ON!, and they definitely made me want to see the rest of the series, it looks like a fun show with a nice mixture of chilled out and full of energy. The animation was brilliant too. |

I'm actually surprised Zac didn't completely hate K-ON!
The Queen's Blade comments are hilarious though. I can't believe people were actually looking forward to this garbage. If you want boobs so bad, then just watch hentai. |

Hahahahahahahahaha!!!! Oh hooooooo!!! I can't stop laughing at this one. Poor Zac. Gotta love his rating smiley. I guess blowing your brains out does sum up this show. Guess that was better than your eyes burning. Now I have to see how terribly awesome this show is. Oh well, this show will do nothing more than stir up those future doujin artists. Not that that was ever a problem to begin with and there was no show. Oh well...
It'll be alright. |

I agree with you Labbes. Life is too short to sit through the end of garbage just because I started watching or reading it. It's like dropping a knife on your foot in the kitchen and then deciding to just slice off your toes because, hey, you already started! (Okay, yes, that's a weird exaggeration, but there you go.) |

Hmm, I prefer actual hentai that doesn't try to pretend it isn't. I also dislike fantasy-themed hentai. So, Queen's Blade is def. not for me. I can also understand the previewers, because they were trying to analyze it as a non-hentai anime, which basically makes your head explode Regardless, looks like a great start to the spring season I'm hoping that the shows I'm actually waiting for will not turn out as bad as the ones I expected to be bad. As for K-On!, I feel like it's a show for people who watch anything shiny that's by Kyo Ani, and that the preview was as close to what I think of it as any preview ever got. Queen's blade is pretty much hentai.
That sad thing is that it's not even good hentai. |

If anyone was expecting ANYTHING different out of Queen's Blade, then well, to put it bluntly, you're an idiot. All you had to do was google images the character designs, or even wikipedia it. There's no real story to speak of, just gigantic bosomed women fighting, one of them being a goo girl. Really, I'd say if you possess a uterus or don't like anime being stupid and excessively fanservice-ish, don't even think about this show, please. That being said, 10/10, brilliant, best show of 2009.
As for K-On!, standard KyoAni affair/liked it better when it was called: Beck, Haruhi, Lucky Star, Detroit Metal City, Manabi Straight, and various other shows. It's more of the same stuff, cute, but forgettable. I think I'll just watch the hilarious troll subs that get released, they were more entertaining than the actual thing. |
