I think that American movie companies could learn something from these Japanese companies. I mean, why weren't there special things available with say the Avengers movie? It would have been awesome.

I don't think the casual movie goers cared about nerd paraphernalia

I think any movie that makes a billion dollars at the box office has a fan base big enough to support nerd paraphernalia.
