I'm just about to stat watching Darker than black but I wanted to know what order should I view the ova. Should I watch it after finishing season 1 or after watching season 2?

The Gaiden OVA occurs chronologically between the two series, but if you want to retain the sense of mystery in Gemini of the Meteor, watch that first, as several of the reveals will come across as redundant if you watch the OVA first.

Watch Gemini before the OVA, without a doubt. The OVA will ruin a lot of major plot twists for you if you watch it first.
It's nice to watch the entire series in chronological order after you've finished Gemini, though.
