I was wondering if the Irish economy was capable of sustaining the convention these days.
I also wonder if they get along with Q-Con in Belfast.

Oh it very much is We had 1200 people last year and there was a slightly smaller convention last August with about 1000 people. The Irish convention scene has never been as healthy, despite what's happening with the economy at large.

Of course we do Much <3 for the Q-Con folks, a bunch of them staff Eirtakon every year and there's a lot of mutual respect between the committees, so yeah we get along great! The Irish convention scene is quite small in terms of the people organising events and we all get on very well with each other.
