"edit" tag on Encyclopedia entries

Just a quick question.

Over a month ago, I added cast members to some of the anime, and when it entered there was an "edit" tag next to the name.

I just recently looked at that Encyclopedia listing again, and the edit tag was still there. How long do those edit tags stay on the listing via my computer? Or do they never go away since I was the one who submitted the entry?
