i just read the first volume, and i thought it was really good. does anyone know exactly why this was discontinued? i mean it had the potential to be really popular.

The first volume was more like an introduction to some of the characters. There is a new manga out called Dogs: Bullets and Carnage. I have read the first 8 chapters and it seems the characters Haine, Naoto and Badou are the lead roles so far. There is also a short called Dogs: Hardcore Twins staring two twins named Luki and Noki they are also in Dogs: Bullets and Carnage.

Yea, Dogs was basically a one shot one volume manga. I guess it was popular enough to become a series. A very cool series.
