Ah, he worked on SSBB? That would explain why the theme for the final battle in B2/W2's Pokémon World Tournament sounded like "Final Destination".
I hope things go well for him. He's composed some great pieces for Pokémon. I do hope he comes back for the newer games, though.

Working for Game Freak probably brings in more than enough money. I can understand him wanting to explore his creativity though. Making so much Pokemon leaves room for little freedom.

I do hope he comes back to make compositions for future games. The pieces he composed were easily the best, especially since Junichi Masuda started taking a back seat with composition.

Sad to see him go. I was becoming a big fan of the pokemon games soundtracks over the last 5 years or so. Considering R/S remakes are most likely to happen soon (which is my favorite gen to date), it saddens me even more. I was really looking forward to hearing a remix of 3rd gen music
