Well, this is really interesting! Saudi Arabia has a significant number of anime fans, but due to their cultural life-style, they can't display it openly. This is an opportunity for them to showcase their love for anime.

Personally, I like anime partially because it's foreign attributes / cultural differences between Japan and my own is appealing. I don't think I'd like it if as an adult I would still need someone else's approval to watch something and then they cherry pick a show as if they were my parents and I was still a teen. That's the sort of vibe I'm getting.
