Thanks for the review, Kim! Really hyped for t his movie. Hibike! probably my favorite of all time, in it's genre. The third year announcement skyrocketed my hype for this.

Can't believe it's been almost a year since this movie screened in Japan. It was an absolute blast to see everyone back and have Kumiko take on a more leadership role. The visuals were also incredible. I hope everyone has a chance to see this movie at some point, it adds a quite a bit to the Hibike! Euphonium universe.

The reviewer, Ms. Morrissy, nailed this one to the wall, definitely a B movie. There is far too much going on here for 101 minutes and the resolutions as they be feel forced and ad hoc.
But it does bring back our center, Kumiko and we even get some S1 type Reina and Kumiko to show that they have not lost touch with each other, and that's nice. But they keep threatening to pair Shūichi and Kumiko, and for this fan, that was precious story time lost when so many other relational problems were of far more interest. What is interesting is that "Liz and the Blue Bird" takes place in the same time space as this movie, and they end with the concert playing this beautiful piece of music. The ending concert was the best part of Promise for this fan. But what is hard to understand is, how can you win gold and not go on to represent Kansai in the Nationals??? Still if you are a fan of Eupho, you will like this movie. Ms Morrissy is spot on with her review! YAY!
