The trailer showcased two new female fighters, who are acting as part of a "Rival Team" for Shun'ei, similar to how Iori was introduced in KOF '95. Beyond that, there are still another 7-8 characters left to announce (depending on if Heiden, who's on the key art, will be playable or not), so there's always chances for a few more new characters.

The game does look really good, all of the characters look much better than in XIV, though some like Ash look kind of weird. I hope they announce the rest of the base roster soon. K' will probably be accompanied by Maxima and Kula Diamond, and Ash's team could probably include Duo Lon. It's a shame that Leona's classic costume and Terry's Garou outfit are DLC, but that's how games are made these days I guess.
