That looks like Sumire as one of the new princesses (guesswork, so I don't think this counts as spoiler, if it does please let me know)! Yay, I love her, she seems (to me) trans-coded and plus she's a great character. I wish Nacchi was a princess too though, and I hope spoiler[we see more of Band Snatch, potentially as allies]. I'm looking forward to the second half!

Thinking of Sumire too, her episode felt the most "potential future main cast"-like among the secondary characters. You just know she would have more importance later. I was really hoping for Nacchi's transformation last week, but I can't see the pink-haired princess being her. spoiler[Maybe the girl Nacchi met in Alicepia during the battle last week? Her physique would be the closest among the known characters.]

Yeah, that's absolutely Sumire. Not sure who pink is though. I wonder if it's a character we've seen or not. Could be Ripples #2 fan (#1 obviously Nacchi), maybe... Maybe someone new.
Didn't they, like, spoiler[kinda die, though? I haven't seen the latest ep tho so not sure if that shows them still around.] |

Thankfully, the show resolves conflict in a more interesting way than simply "girl heroines defeat bad guys" since the bad guys turned out to be quite nuanced in their motivation (the ultimate fate of Band Snatch is unclear).
But of course it has all the (G-rated) fan service that tween girls (and others) expect in their magical girl shows. Still not sure why the production committee thinks it will have no legs outside of Asia. |
