I found this very riveting from start to finish, and I hope there's a second season once the manga accumulates enough material for one.
About Ichitarō, i found the way Gaku and Kagura dread interacting with him and his "aura" a very interesting portrayal of what it's like to deal with a brilliant narcissist who treats even those closest to him like objects who are there just to serve his whims.

It's not a good anime. Too much of the typical anime melodrama. That's not what I needed in my cooking anime about mathematics.
