Yeah, still has the fluidity of someone posing action figures in most shots...

There's random 2D shots thrown in with a line filter on shadows, eh. I'm seriously getting Berserk 2016 vibes... I'll pass.

this is "animated" the same way a special move in a fighting game from the early/mid 2000s is also the constant switch from 2d to that 199X bryce 3d modelling in almost every frame is messed up lmao

The only 3D anime I like is Land of the lustrous. Every other 3D anime looks rubbish to me.

Considering how good anime-style 3D animation can look with things like ZZZ, I don't get how Japan still keeps making it look so stiff and unnatural. Granted ZZZ will most certainly get a lot more budget to play with, but you'd think it would have improved by now.
The 2D animated parts look fine though, and it would probably be better if the whole series was like that.

I think it looks watchable at least.
If nothing else, IMO, it seem worth watching for seiyu performances.

Imo, it looks ok, with some decent shots here and there, I feel like that should be the general reaction instead of stating how it looks like berserk (which it doesn't, at all).

I hope it's a summer or fall release because that looked pretty rough.

I'm a bit slightly uncomfortable with this animation even though it looks OK. I'll be cautious when I watch this. But again, the original 80's anime is not without its flaws though.

Oh boy, they may as well shelve this.

Same reason some ahows having excellent 2D animation doesn’t prevent disasters like OPM S3. It’s all in the staff andtheir conditions

While I’m also not fond of the 3-D visuals and the inconsistency of having 2-D and 3-D animation together, the fights have bombast (if a bit jerky).
Also, Shin’s move in the trailer (Power Slash/Hakuha Zan) was so familiar to me and seconds later I realised it’s from the arcade fighting game, same name and all which is super cool! He does a generic unnamed slash in the manga in the same scene that’s kinda similar so I guess the game used that as a reference to create that move and the anime’s acknowledging that.
Anyway, I’m willing to give this a shot. The mains concerns I have are 1) how many eps are we getting and 2) whether it’ll keep the humour, FOTNS can be quite funny.

Going by some CG show patterns, I would expect this to be split-cour, not sure how many breaks though.

Yeah, probably likely. The manga’s shorter than the anime which really padded things out, especially getting to Shin, but I hope they don’t rush the material too much and keep a decent enough length because they’re covering quite a bit of ground judging by the trailer and character casting.

I have 2 main-problem, after watching the trailer of "Fist of the North Star":
1. The inconsistent quality of Animation and Backgroundstyle, because some parts (mostly 2D-Scenes) are realy good but other Parts (the 3DCG-Moving-Scenes) was awful as fudge.
2. The Art-Style of these 3DCG. I don´t like the Cell-Shading-2D-Anime-Look.
I don´t get it, why many Studios try these types of 3DCG-Animes, where most of the fans aren´t happy with that.
