This was announced a while ago, but I figure I'll post some CLAMP updates for CLAMP fans.

CLAMP in 3-D Land

Everyone knows about CLAMP in 3-D Land right? Smile It's these tiny awesome figurines in multiple sets of 5. Some of the figures connect with other figures of the same comic series. For instance, there are two figures of Syaoran but only the Tsubasa one will connect with the Tsubasa Sakura... etc. It's all illustrated in the tiny booklet that comes in the box of 10 figures if you happen to buy a full box versus a 5 figure set. It's a good idea to get together with a friend and buy a box! Each should come with 2 complete sets. Or buy a box, keep the itty bitty pamphlet and sell the 2nd set on ebay Very Happy

www.hlj.com seems to have a reasonable price per box. Only 4 sets of 8 (maybe) are released so far! So it's easy to catch up for now!

Another upcoming CLAMP thingy would be:

CLAMP in Cardland!

It's being released by Upperdeck Japan. I'm not sure where to get this yet. You might have to check a local import dealer or something until more information comes up. This is due to come out in November. There's also a promotional card that is released with this CD collection according to the Japanese text. ( Information was edited here)The official site (linked above) also says there's a promotional card in Tsubasa Limited Edition Manga #21 that comes with Tokyo Revelations DVD #1. Unfortunately the manga it's being released with is not the hardcover edition. Something like that Smile (end edit) Wooo Releasing November 16th, 2007

eh... the side also says there is a promotional card to be picked up at stores (upper deck stores I'm assuming) during golden week >.< I'm not sure if it's special or just a regular card.

There's probably more news out there. I know I had something else to report, but it slipped my mind for now >.<

EDIT: I remembered what it was!!!

Tsubasa - RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE & xxx HOLiC 2008 Calendar

YEP! It's their 5th Tsubasa/XXXHolic Calendar! Often it comes with more than just the calendar, but with extra items. The first was pens, second was stamps in a metal case, third was a desk calendar, and the fourth was another desk calendar that can be converted into a story book about Mokona and Modoki. If it follows along the same lines as the rest, it'll be a high quality calendar spiral bound at the top with a metal loop-like-bar to hang it by a nail or thumbtack. This is the Japanese import calendar and not released in the US. The quality is definitely better. It's more like a 12 page collector art book on high quality textured paper than a calendar!

So far I only found a pre-order from yesasia, but I was able to order last years calendar on Amazon Japan. It should be only a matter of time before it shows up there Smile

OH YAH! if anyone else has any more CLAMP merchandise updates, feel free *Anime smile*

Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, it looks like HLJ doesn't have the first CLAMP in 3-D Land in stock (or at least it didn't show up in my searches.) Might need to wonder to eBay and see if I can't find these sometime soon. I'm on a bit of a CLAMP kick as I'm watching Cardcaptor Sakura and reading xxxHoLiC. I'm considering Tsubasa Chronicles (either in manga or anime format) once I finish with CCS.

I just wish there were Magic Knight Rayearth characters involved (maybe there were but I didn't see them?) That will probably always be my favorite CLAMP series. It's still the prettiest of them all, in my opinion.

I've got the first 3 sets of CLAMP in 3-D Land, bought them as sets of 5 from ebay so I missed out on the booklet from the full box. Sad

The cards look nice but I'll probably leave them seeing as they are in Japanese.

In case anyone isn't aware, CLAMP No Kiseki is being released again. Volume 7 is out now and volume 8 is due in October. The chess pieces are similar to the 3-D land figures.

I really should try and track down the art books, seeing as I have everything else they've made.

Ahh I got all the Kiseki files in Japanese and the box with the chess board and book holder to hold all the books. The only thing I'm missing is the chess piece set holding box with the 2 extra kings Suppi and Kero. It went for quite a bit of money on ebay. I'm thinking of holding off on that for a long time or forever.

The only way someone was going to get those pieces and the box for the chess pieces was to get all 12 kiseki files with a cut out image on a piece of paper that came with each, stick it on a card that has the appropriate spaces and mail it to have them mail back the promotional items. I did all that but by the time it made it to the person I have a slight connection to in Japan, they said it had expired Sad

So... I missed out on that >.< I hope Tokyopop releases something similar.. or I'm building my own wooden box for the pieces.

Just an update if anyone is still out there collecting the Clamp in 3-D Land.

The fifth set should be released soon. Here's a Hobby Link Japan link. It's still only preorder, but will probably be available soon.

Also, it seems HLJ also has the Clamp in Card Land cards.

Here's the links for the cards on HLJ:
Clamp in Card Land Starter
Clamp in Card Land Booster Box

uhm.. Yep! that's all I got for now haha.
