At one of my local Walmarts I found Inuyasha Anime DVD Season 3, Season 4, and Movie Box sets for $34.97 each. This is an awesome deal at half price! I don't think you can order them online. I think it's limited to what you can find in the store. I know at one time walmart was selling Inuyasha seasons that were missing the Japanese track and only had English dubs, but these sets are the real deal, with both tracks. I did see some of the Naruto Uncut Boxed Sets for $24.97 at one time. So you might want to check your local stores to see if they are carrying any of these titles.

The sad thing is people will exploit this if possible. I know someone, that actually bought 2 from Wal-Mart and then took one to Best Buy. Returned it and turned around and bought DBZ Season 4, Cowboy Bebop box set, and History of Trunks/Father of Goku Specials. Said that it was like a steal and that I should do it too. Though I won't.

I'm sorry, explain it so that people like myself can understand this a bit more clearly; you're friend bought a box set from Wal-Mart then took that same merchandise and exchanged it at Best Buy? How does that work? |

They were probably able to convince best buy to refund them for the normal retail price (99$ I think?)

In better terms. They bought the Inuyasha box set at Wal-mart for $34.97. They traveled like 1-2 miles away to Best Buy. They went to return it. Got the exchange rate for the series at their selling price of $99.99. They then, bought the DBZ Season 4 for $39.99 and Cowboy Bebop series for $39.99 with that money. Then, he got the remaining amount back in cash.

Ya, I noticed it too, I got the , Naruto Limited Edition movie, Bleach 1 box and Inuyasha season 4 at wal-mart for 34.96 each. Which is ungodly cheaper than it normally was, and was thinking about doing that, but couldn't do it.

Um... yes that's policy but they will violate that policy. I had them do it for me personally. I wasn't being unscrupulous, in my case I had a bad DBZ disc in my Season 2 set (I posted on this forum about it). They gave me little problems returning it without a receipt for the same product.
I am sure at some best buys and with more "talent" people could convince them to provide "in store credit" which would sound a lot nicer to best buy. If they weren't able to find something for 10$, refunding them at that point doesn't sound unusual. I don't know why you'd think Mune is lying... is there any advantage to it? |

People violate return policies all the time. There are places where the return cashiers are instructed not to challenge people on the returns for a variety of reasons, but often so that the cashiers don't have to deal with potentially violent customers angry that they can't make questionable (or even fraudulent) returns. I've seen things like that happen fairly often compared to how often I've actually returned or exchanged things. It was always very frustrating when I'd refuse a return because it didn't fit the policy, and the manager would go ahead and accept it. It was even more frustrating when I'd buy something and find it had been used. I bought a computer once that had dozens of pictures of somebody's dog uploaded to it, and was missing half the cables. I then got a bunch of crap when I tried to return it- I won't shop there any more over that. In the end, it all goes back to the manufacturer, and they're out whatever the wholesale cost was where they sold it.

I just checked, and they are available online. Currently, inuyasha is out of stock, but they have alot of other cheap box sets, like naruto box set volume 7 only $22.46.

I think they are talking about the season box sets, not the one of the 4 movies.
