Bear with me as I throw together a quick collage of this anime movie I loved as a kid... I'm trying to find it again.
It was mythological, and pretty bloody. It was English-dubbed, and I think they aired it on the Family Film Festival. Had to do with demons and gods, and the hero was very Bruce-Leeish. There was a winged dog-looking angel that was boiled in oil at one point. A scene where a demon-disguised-as-a-woman ate a human arm. One of the character's techniques was that his arms would grow long when he'd attack... People would attack each other on clouds. I remember an older guy sniffing out a demon in a crowd - same one disguised as a human woman. I'm trying to remember details!
Does anyone remember this old Japanese cartoon (I'm pretty sure it was Japanese)? I've googled what I can remember of it, ebayed it, animenewsnetworked it, and I can't find it anywhere...
It would be the same vintage as Alakazam the Great, made in the 60's, or perhaps 70's.
My brothers and I found the old VHS tape it was recorded on back in the 80's, but someone had recorded Buffy the Vampire Slayer over it about 8 years ago. Sad! All my mother wrote on the tape was "Bruce Lee Chinese cartoon"...
I don't think it was Chinese, but I don't know.
Any of you old school kids out there who grew up in the 80's remember the title?

And you saw it on the "Family Film Festival"?

No kidding, huh? But for the life of me, I don't know what else she would have gotten it from. She always recorded shows from that program. I was just a kid...
No bells?

I'm just guessing here, but it might really be a Chinese cartoon. Them Chinese are really into this sort of mythological stuff I think, what with Nezha and Journey to the West (and a bunch of others too), though in both of them cartoons, I don't remember a Bruce Lee-ish hero.
