The voices, for the most part, are the same as the movie, though the dailouge is somewhat different, so there's going to be some slight differences. The English voice-actor for Togusa is now Crispin Freeman, doing his run-of-the-mill ZOMG DEEP voice (think Balmung from .hack), instead of whoever was doing his voice previously.
I thought the dub was alright, but doesn't seem all that special to me.

Yeah, I actually bought SAC vol 1 but haven't popped it in yet (partly since I've already seen the series), but I can see where you are coming from with the VAs being the same as the movie dub. I didn't think that dub was very good.

I think it's OK. I haven't seen the movie in a long time, but I think they retained most of the original dub cast.
I like Tosuga and Kusanagi better in Japanese, but the dub overall is alright "standing alone."
I watched it once in Japanese and then again at a friends house in English. And yes, as steventheeunuch said, the dialogue is changed up a bit, but nothing too bad. I'll watch it dubbed if I have to, but don't really mind it .

the cast that they have did a fairly good job, but I think maybe two or three of them dont fit exactly.
by the way, does anyone think Aramaki sounds like John Hurt (Trevor Bruttenholm in Hellboy)? I haven't seen the movie myself but I remember what he sounds like and I'm thinking its him, I'll look at the credits later.

I kinda meant the Dialouge was different than the movie. More energetic... kinda, therefore the voices wouldn't sound the same as the Movie. I didn't mind the movie's dub, save the arkward pauses. I relaly wish they didn't use Crispin Freeman though. I still totally love Batou though.

Ahh I see. Well I didn't really think the dub voices fit the characters too well.

Oh... . Well, yeah, that too. If you watch the interview with Atsuko Tanaka (Kusunagi's seiyuu) she even says it herself the TV series is much more upbeat than the movie. Sorry 'bout that, thought you meant the dub script vs. the subs... .

I agree, Batou's dub voice is excellent, Crispin Freeman keeps making me think of Tales of Symphonia... .

Ya what Kagemusha said could someone tell me if the Tachikomas had good dub also if the voices are more masculine or more feminine. In the origanal japanese vocies they were more feminine.

The Tachikomas sound good, in my opinion. They're all female voices, and their voice pitches are pretty close to the original Japanese ones. My friends thought they heard a few of the Tenchi girls, and I think I heard Ed's voice (as in Ed from Bebop).
The only real problem is sometimes they talk too fast, which along with their high voices makes it hard to hear and kind of annoying if the volumes up too high.
