This is the final round of voting for the new ANN Book Club. All discussion should take place here. If anyone continues to post in the previous threads, please send them, via link, here.
Our finalists are: Kaiba[2] Eve no Jikan[8] Perfect Blue[2] Denpa teki na Kanojo[2] For the final round, only one vote per user will be allowed. As with round one, voting will come to an end once no votes have been placed for 48 hours. I will, once again, be refraining from voting. Happy voting everyone, and may the best show/movie win! Dang, I'm pretty torn between Eve no Jikan and Kaiba. In the preliminary voting I really wanted Kaiba to win but the more I've learned about Eve no Jikan the more I think that would make a great Book Club. Hm.... I'm going to go with Eve no Jikan because we'll be able to split it easily into 3 or 2 arcs and it is easy to obtain so everyone who wants to can participate. I haven't seen this so It'll be cool to watch and discuss with everyone.

This is tough. My vote goes to Perfect Blue but I'm jazzed about this no matter which one wins.

I vote for Eve no Jikan, for the same reasons I stated in the previous thread: six 15-minute episodes, many easily identifiable discussion topics, great for a book club revival, etc.

While Time of Eve has enough subject matter to discuss for a couple weeks, it'll be hard to stretch it out more than a month or so. Not that I won't participate if that ends up being the final choice, but I'd prefer Kaiba of the options we have here.

I still don't feel like a single movie is the best choice, so that leaves me with Kaiba and Time of Eve and looking at them both, I am definitely more interested in the latter, so I shall also be voting for Eve no Jikan.

Considering no one has voted on it yet, I'll put in a vote for Denpa teki na Kanojo for the heck of it. Regardless, all four of these are titles I wouldn't have any problem participating in discussion for.

Having just downloaded Denpa teki na Kanojo I am happy to do that one. I would equally be happy to do Time of Eve however. So which one should I vote for?
Well, Time of Eve is a better choice for a variety of reasons, so I would vote for it, except it is winning handily. So I am going to vote for Denpa teki na Kanojo, just because I don't want it to end up with zero votes. Yeah, I know, I'm not voting for the one I honestly think is better. But I'm not really fussed which one wins to be honest. I'm going to watch them both anyway (and Kaiba too when I get around to getting the DVD), so the only thing is that the book club decides which one I watch with other people and which ones I watch by myself. Of course, if another round of the book club is held in a couple of month's time then I wouldn't mind waiting till then before watching the others. Edit: Whoops, somehow missed Ggultra2764's post. Anyway, my vote still stands. |
