I guess this is like Kamikatsu where I find the show, cast, and comedy generally fun and hilarious while the reviewer completely disagrees.

I think even the fanservice is animated pretty well even if this isn't an amazing level production.

Touka is a degenerate scumbag but he's also true to himself and is way more crafty than he lets on. I think Yuna is growing into her own as well.

I'm a fan of the manga so I'm biased towards the anime. I think it's been a pretty solid adaptation so far.

But I also 100% get how this is a series that isn't for everyone. I'm not entirely sure why I like it as it's not what I'd usually consume. I think it's the face game that got me, the comical faces are great and seeing them replicated in the anime was so good.

Some of the scenes haven't fully captured the humor (like when the demon attacks uhh Belako? I think that's how it's written. I'm used to Blake), but mostly the timing has been pretty good.

I'm enjoying hearing Sion's calm, ikemen hero voice saying shitty things.

Also, the OP song is extremely catchy.

I don't think I'd say slog, but it definitely hasn't been as good as I hoped. I only read a chapter or two before watching the anime, so was hopeful for a better comedy. I'll stick with it for now, but not sure if it will be worth sticking around.

I find the concept of it a bit entertaining, and even the fact that the main character is actually a horrible person is fun in concept, but... him being a pervert is turning me off. I'm just so done with this creepy male pervert trope that has been in soooo many anime/manga over the years.

Same for me, it was one the most satisfying and enjoyable manga I read, I hate how this is such a negative review, but I'm gonna enjoy the show nonetheless.

Whew that OP is a banger. The gags are on point, too.

Like KamiKatsu, I'm finding this to be a fascinating mess of a show, and I can't quite quit it.

My most pressing question though, with this latest episode, is do they not have saliva in this world? Are everyone's mouths bone dry (heh)? Have they never heard of kissing? How was that not even broached as an option on the wheel of bodily fluids? I don't begrudge it for going where it has, but it's weird to skip over that option without even a quick gag.

(and yeah, the OP is pretty great)

I know this show is usually a horny, degenerate, comedy most of the time but it feels like as we dive deeper into things the characters feel more layered and likeable...though still played mostly for humor.

I guess they didn't think it would be as effective or quick?

In the manga it was mentioned, but it was also omitted as not a good choice in terms of effect. Anime just skimmed it over. Laughing

Well, that's something, I guess. Still, that bugged me more than it had any reason to.

Yeah I figured this one would be harder to defend than Mushoku Tensei.

That thumbnail seems spicey. I might check it out still despite the bad review.

I don't know, I'll take a silly comedy about a bunch of perverts over a spiel about how pedophiles and rapists deserve to be happy too any day of the week.

Not only do I agree, but I still wonder where the collective brainrot causing the defense for MT is coming from. Both have junky fetish shlock, but at least everyone is of legal age here and the show doesn't pretend some BS moral high ground or deep philosophical nonsense bullshit.
