This sounds like an interesting concept, so I might check it out even if it seems a little dark for my tastes. I've always found centaurs interesting, though I guess the fact that horses are notoriously hard to draw (and animate) is why you don't see them in fiction quite as often as other mythological creatures. It looks as though the creator of this series has a good grasp on drawing them, though.

Pretty much anything could beat the horses in The Elusive Samurai.
I've been very much starved for that special blend of dark (but not too dark) fantasy since Miura's passing. Sounds like this will be worth at least checking out the first volume. I'll have to wander into a bookstore sometime after the 11th and take a look. (Curse these pre-release reviews!  )
