Seems like an odd trend where stories enter their final arcs just as anime adaptions get announced...

Is it really odd, though? From the marketing standpoint it is typically beneficial to tie financially risky ventures to relevant news events to ensure public attention. It is one thing I'm glad the animanga industry has learned, because their marketing tends to be all over the place.
That being said, with the team behind the upcoming Fable adaptation, I'd rather they didn't... Everything points to it becoming yet another disaster that adds no value to the IP. |
