Cool! Thanks for the review! I love the Atelier series. BTW, it's for both PS4 and PS5. Now if only I could solve the two sets of ten dice puzzles quickly enough that the server doesn't time out so I could sign in and purchase the game. (Actually, that seems to happen only with Firefox; there's an easier puzzle using Safari.)

Not gonna lie; this is the main reason why I got into Atelier series! I only started to play this because of Atelier Rorona, and I was instantly hooked when I could practically craft and fight monsters. Still, at the same time, there is a sense of needing to be organized with the activities you have to do in the game due to its time restriction. I pre-ordered this game as I have never had a chance to play the first-ever Atelier game.

Anyone else still waiting for NISA to update their store so we can actually get our games?They're really dragging their feet and we have to wait for them to email us to basically repurchase our games and as of last week the only game they've done that with is Trails into Reverie which I'm pretty sure they got out on time. Pretty annoying, wish they'd hurry up get their store in order.

I preordered it on switch for the deluxe edition so I could get the original version of the game (which I have experienced via fan translation but didn't remember much about and only finished one run of it).
It takes a little adjusting to the chibis, which sometimes look great and sometimes look awful, but overall it's a very charming looking game.
I'd completely forgotten about the random minigames until I was playing the game. I feel like the cheese one was harder in the OG...
Anyway, I've already sunk a few hours in it and it's been so fun! The character's are so charming and I love the rumour system.

If you're coming from newer Atelier games it definitely will feel rather different and a bit clunky in comparison, but it's still great fun and the simplicity is kind of refreshing (don't have to worry about quality and getting certain stats etc etc like I had been while trying to 100% Atelier Ayesha...)

I feel like the game is a little easier than I remembered, as I've already wiped out the wind spirit and dragon, but whatever! I'm having a lot of fun and will be happy to play the OG afterwards. The characters are a lot of fun and I want to learn all their stories now (but I can't afford the higher cost characters...!)

I really hope they keep doing these remakes because I want to see Atelier Ellie remade...

Actually, another reason why I got the game is because I thought of this as the blueprint of the succeeding Atelier games. So I have been curious as to seeing and experiencing the game's roots and how the game series evolved from there Smile

So I definitely hope they'll do more remake of their previous Atelier!
