I have never seen any ANN reviewer gush as much about any series as you do about FotNS.

…I'm still not sure if I'll read it myself -- so much to read/watch/play/write, so little time -- but I'm glad you've been able to get assigned to something you love so much!

This one deserves it, believe me. It was underappreciated in the English-speaking world for decades thanks to some bad anime dubs and a bad live-action film. It's great to see it finally being appreciated, especially when the creators are still with us.

The next two arcs after the timeskip are still solid in my opinion, but they do exist in the shadow of what came before.

FotNS is one of those things like City Hunter that just seems... way too big for me to get into at this point, but I'd like to someday. I did pick up the PS4 game during the big sale last week, though. Haven't had a chance to play it, but it's a Ryu ga Gotoku game, so odds are it's at least pretty decent.

It's really good! The only caveat is it's more of an AU game than a canonical FotNS story, weaving elements from the manga in and around an original story. Raoh appears but he's a brief side dish to the main plot, and the story ends on an "and the adventure continues" that obviates the actual conclusion to the manga.

Still - it's a solid mashup that earns its "Hokuto ga Gotoku" title. Anime hyper
