Kantai Girls Mobile Game Looks a Lot Like a Certain Other Game

A Thai mobile game titled Kantai Girls has more in common with DMM's Kantai Collection than title alone. For instance, all of the characters in the game.

The app's Facebook page notes that the game does include micro-transactions and one of the game's ads includes animation sequences from the Kan Colle television anime.

Kantai Collection's name is even used prominently on the game's website.

DMM's Kan Colle remains immensely popular. An arcade version is expected to launch this spring. Over 1,000 players came out to test one of the game's levels in Osaka last weekend.
