posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
We've got more details about Weekly Shonen Jump's 50th anniversary issue, now available in Japan. On top of the already announced new one-shot by Bleach manga creator Tite Kubo, the magazine's front cover is a multi-artist collaboration.
Prominent artists drew their own characters side by side with their favorite characters from other Jump series. One Piece's Eiichiro Oda drew Luffy arm in arm with Dragon Ball Z's Goku, My Hero Academia's Kōhei Horikoshi drew Deku with Naruto imitating the ninja's signature pose, Yūki Tabata drew Black Clover's Asta side by side with Yu Yu Hakusho's Hiei, and Haruichi Furudate drew Haikyu!!'s Shōyō Hinata happily riding the black horse Cascade from Midori no Makibao.
The issue also contains an announcement for the upcoming Bleach illustration collection JET.
One more eye-catching announcement in the issue is teasing a special Weekly Shonen Jump chef cross-over. Eiichiro Oda will collaborate on a one-shot titled "Shokugeki no Sanji" with Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma creators Yūto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki in this year's #34 issue on July 23. The issue marks the 21st anniversary of One Piece.
Tsukuda will write the story, Saeki will draw the artwork, and dietitian Yuki Morisaki is credited with cooperation. Fans can expect some excellent cooking next week!
