We're only a few weeks away from the fall season and the list is loaded with big series sequels and highly anticipated adaptations. Sword Art Online, My Hero Academia, The Seven Deadly Sins, and Chihayafuru are all coming back. A reboot of Blade of the Immortal will premiere alongside a whole boatload of light novel adaptations including Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! and Ascendance of a Bookworm. The Fate franchise marches on with Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia.

Which series are otaku in Japan anticipating the most? The Anime! Anime! website held a poll from August 30 to September 6 to find out.

  10. Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life (tie for 9th)
  11. Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE (tie for 11th)
  12. Rifle is Beautiful (tie for 11th)
  13. Hōkago Saikoro Club (tie for 11th)
  14. Ascendance of a Bookworm (tie for 11th)
  15. Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! (tie for 11th)
  16. ACTORS: Songs Connection (tie for 17th)
  17. Ahiru no Sora (tie for 17th)

The results were switched up based on participants' gender. Men's picks (in order) were Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld, Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia, and Psycho-Pass 3. Women picked Chihayafuru 3, My Hero Academia, and Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld.
