CAST COMMENTS

Haruka Shiraishi (Voice of A. Einstein)
Hi, my name is Haruka Shiraishi, and I voice A. Einstein. Despite the serious storyline and enthralling battle scenes, the comic relief of cute interactions between characters is what makes it such a fun series. What are the true emotions behind those seemingly ruthless characters? Are the opinions of the majority really the only ones that matter? The more I watched, the more intrigued I became, and it really got me thinking.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Ein and the others in action in the anime! Thank you!

Kaito Ishikawa (Voice of I. Newton)
Hello, my name is Kaito Ishikawa, and I was given the pleasure to voice I. Newton.
I'm looking forward to playing both the fun and cheerful side of Newton as well as the more serious and considerate side. I think this series does a great job of spurring the curiosity of the viewer through the various names of historical figures.
I'll sure be doing my own research before recording.
But I'd better start by looking up different apple varieties

Reina Ueda (Voice of F. Nightingale)
I play the character who, rather than going into battle, is tasked with healing the wounds of members who returned injured. But she does not simply heal the members; she somehow does it in such a seductive and thrilling way. I hope everyone will enjoy this series while paying special attention to the heartwarming, yet quirky Nightingale. Please be sure not to miss "Petals of Reincarnation!"

Marina Inoue (Voice of Jubei Mitsuyoshi Yagyu) Headshot
I'm honored to be playing Jubei Mitsuyoshi Yagyu.
Jubei seems to harbor special feelings toward Haito. I was asked by the director to portray her unwavering core, so I intend to keep that firmly in mind as I perform.

Shūgo Nakamura (Voice of Hiroshi Funasaka)
I will be voicing Hiroshi Funasaka! He is a man with the talent of immortality. His manner of speaking throughout the series can be quite serious, but surprisingly, he also has a charming side to him. This was my first time playing a role like this, so it was quite a challenge for me! Please look forward to the broadcast as I put my heart and soul into it!

eill (OP Artist)
I'm eill, and was in charge of the opening theme song for "Petals of Reincarnation." After having the opportunity to read the original manga, I was inspired to write "Glitch*."
"Glitch" has the traditional meaning of "bug," but I think of it as a newfound opportunity to break away from the track of “normality.” Whether you see something simply as a bug or rather as a gift, everyone has talent that blooms in different ways. Set against the epic theme of reincarnation, this dance tune expresses the ever-changing nature of our existence in today's world, where what is considered "normal" is being rewritten at an incredible pace.
I'm truly looking forward to the airing of the anime!

Sizuk Shunryu (ED Artist)
The despair of being unable to escape the cycle of feeling that one's existence is insignificant, the joy of obtaining the talent of someone who was once highly praised, and the struggle of having to take on a new way of life as one's true self fades away. Determining justice for oneself, after justice that was taught ceases to exist. The strength to fight for what is important to you, even if that means aiding the forces of evil.
Along with the winds of history and each character's approach to life, I hope that this song can convey all those things.

Sizuk AYAME (ED Artist)
Firstly, I'm truly grateful for this opportunity.
The lyrics for this song were written by Kanata Nakamura, who wrote the lyrics for anemone, which also features in this anime. Nakamura's lyrics are filled with so much sorrow and beauty, and to properly portray those emotions, I tried to express that sorrow by using falsetto where I would normally use my natural voice.
Inside beauty, I hope you can find that sense of weakness and self-reassuring vulnerability in my song as well.

story

There exists an object known as the "Branch of Reincarnation" that can grant people the talents of the past lives, so long as they slit their own throat with it.
Toya Senji is a teenage boy struggling with low self-esteem after growing up in the shadow of his gifted older brother. He comes to the decision that academic studies are his last resort in the search for talent, but fails to find satisfaction despite constantly placing in the top 100 for national mock exams.
In a twist of fate, Toya encounters one of his classmates, Haito Luo Buffett, a "Returner" who has resurrected the talents of her past life using the Branch of Reincarnation, as she fights against a serial killer.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS

A. Einstein (Voiced by Haruka Shiraishi)
One of the founding members of the Forest of the Greats. Mainly in charge of combat and transport operations, alongside Newton, she is considered one of the “big two” at the Forest of the Greats. Her dislike for men runs so deep that she cannot hide her reluctance, when a man so much as touches another woman.
[Spatial Transposition]
A talent, through the interchanging of space, allows for teleportation. However, the teleportation range is limited to self-registered coordinates.

I. Newton (Voiced by Kaito Ishikawa)
One of the founding members of the Forest of the Greats. Boasting a battle-hardened talent and a cool judgment, alongside Einstein, Newton is considered one of the “big two” at the Forest of the Greats. When punched, he tends to scream different varieties of apples.
[Fruit of Gravity]
A talent that controls gravity at will. Can set afloat or crush any object within a four-meter radius of the apple-shaped device.

F. Nightingale (Voiced by: Reina Ueda)
A lady of grace with her eyes hidden behind bangs. Responsible for the medical treatment of all members at the Forest of the Greats. Often referred to as the “Naughty Nurse” by Neumann, as she often touches her patients excessively during treatment.
[Angel of Healing]
A talent that heals all wounds. While it can heal any imaginable bodily damage, it cannot resurrect someone from the dead.

Jubei Mitsuyoshi Yagyu (Voiced by Marina Inoue)
Eyepatch on her left eye. A member of the Forest of the Greats, who fights with her trusted katana at her hip. A warrior who travels the countryside searching for sword-wielding Returners, in the pursuit of the perfection of the sword.
[Blade's Edge Acuity]
A talent that extends the boundaries of visual acuteness. Enables spatial awareness to the millimeters and allows the user to see all movements in slow motion.

Hiroshi Funasaka (Voice by Shūgo Nakamura)
A seemingly emotionless man of few words. A combat operative of the Forest of the Greats, who is battle-hardened on the battlefields across the globe. As a result of his immortality, has little fear of death.
[The Undead Soldier]
Talent that allows for the self-regeneration and healing of any wound. But self-regeneration is limited to damage sustained to oneself and cannot be used on others.
