Gundam: The Origin III Episode's Promo Streamed
posted on by Egan Loo
The official website for the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin anime project posted a promotional video for the project's third episode, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin III Akatsuki no Hōki (Dawn's Revolt), on Saturday.
The website also revealed that the episode will follow the youth who would become known as Char Aznable and his future comrade Garma Zabi after they join the Zeons' military academy.
The third episode is slated to open in spring 2016.
The second episode, "Artesia's Sorrow," opened in Japan on October 31, and it ran in 15 theaters in Japan for two weeks. The second episode's story moves three years ahead of the first episode to U.C. 0071. The story follows the tearful separation of the siblings Casval and Artesia (before they became known as Char and Sayla). The episode also features more of the development of the mobile suits, particularly on the Zeon side.
The anime project adapts Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's manga of the same name, which in turn is inspired by the first Mobile Suit Gundam anime's story. The OVA's first episode, titled "Blue-Eyed Casval," premiered in a limited engagement in Japanese theaters on February 28. Anime Consortium Japan began a premium paid streaming of the episode with both the Japanese and English dubs on its Daisuki service on the same date. Right Stuf, in collaboration with Sunrise, offered the first volume in a Blu-ray Disc/DVD combo pack on April 24.
Daisuki began streaming the second episode on October 30.
