Viz Adds Crown of Thorns, Man of Many Faces Manga Digitally

Crown of Thorns debuts on December 8, Man of Many Faces on December 15

Viz Media announced on Wednesday that it has licensed Boys Over Flowers creator Yōko Kamio's Crown of Thorns (Ibara no Kanmuri) manga and CLAMP's Man of Many Faces (20 Mensou ni Onegai!) manga. Viz Media will release the first volumes on December 8 and December 15, respectively. Both manga releases will be digital only.

Viz Media describes Crown of Thorns:

Nobara Fukami has always been able to see things other people can't, and it's made her a total outcast. She doesn't care that that everyone in high school thinks she's a weird loser, but even Nobara considers it creepy when one of her phantoms starts to talk to her!

Kamio launched the manga in Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine in April 2013, and ended it in March 2014. Shueisha published the manga's second and final compiled book volume in August 2014.

Viz Media had announced in October that it had licensed the manga, but said at the time that the first volume would come out in November.

Viz Media describes Man of Many Faces:

"Please Come, 20 Faces!” Discover the adventures of Akira Ijyuin, the infamous thief of the Clamp School and member of the Clamp School Detectives.

CLAMP serialized the manga in Kadokawa's Newtype magazine from 1990 to 1991. Tokyopop previously released the manga's two compiled book volumes in English in 2003.

Viz Media is hosting a "Flash Sale" that offers US$2 off of select digital titles during limited two-day periods throughout the first half of December. The company is also offering digital bundles throughout December for YuYu Hakusho and Boys Over Flowers, and it will also offer manga bundles for the following series from December 7-13: Chibi Vampire, Dengeki Daisy, Library Wars: Love & War, Red River, and Voice Over! Seiyu Academy. Viz Media will then offer digital bundles on Biomega, NANA, and Terra Formars from December 14-20.
