Bandai Namco Entertainment streamed an "Episode #00" for the shorts last month. The rest of the anime is streaming within the God Eater Resonant Ops smartphone game.

God Eater Resonant Ops launched for iOS and Android devices on April 4. The story moves the setting "at long last" toward the Fenrir Headquarters, four years after God Eater 2 Rage Burst in the year 2078.

Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming a second promo video for the game on Monday.

The latest main game in the God Eater franchise, God Eater 3, is set for a release in Japan, Asia, Europe, and in the Americas on PlayStation 4 and PC. The God Eater game series has shipped more than 4 million copies worldwide.

The God Eater game franchise inspired a 13-episode television anime series in 2015. Aniplex of America released the anime with an English dub on Blu-ray Disc in two sets in November 2016 and January 2017.
