posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
New play premieres in October, with 7th stage play in December

The official website for Kurenai Enishi, the sixth stage play adaptation of the Tsukiuta franchise, revealed a key visual and cast visuals last Friday.

The cast for the Six Gravity group includes:

Kentarō Menjō as Hajime Mutsuki

Gaku Matsuda as Haru Yayoi (replacing Hiroki Nakada)

Tatsuki Jōnin as Aoi Satsuki

Ryū Kiyama as Kakeru Shiwasu

Lui Yokoo as Koi Kisaragi

Ryōhei Takenaka as Arata Uzuki

The cast for the Procellarum group includes:

TAKA as Shun Shimotsuki (replacing Yūki Tomotsune)

Kazumi Doi as Kai Fuzuki

Shūto Washio as Yō Hazuki

Yusuke Akiba as Yoru Nagatsuki (replacing Yoshiki Tani)

Yūsaku Satō as Rui Minazuki

Ryōki Miyama as Iku Kannazuki (replacing Tsubasa Sasa)

Other characters include:

Kentarō Menjō as Kokutenko

TAKA (CUBERS) as Hakutenko

Kurenai Enishi will run at the Shingawa Prince Stellar Ball in Tokyo from October 18 to November 4. The seventh stage play, CYBER-DIVE-CONNECTION, will run at Hulic Hall in Tokyo from December 5 to 9, and then at Mielparque Hall in Osaka from December 13 to 16. Both plays will star the members of the Six Gravity and Procellarum group.

The first stage play ran in April 2016 in "Black" and "White" versions focused on Six Gravity and Procellarum, respectively. The second stage performance ran in October 2016 in "Sakura Chapter" and "Moon Chapter" versions, both of which starred both groups but focused on different characters. The third play, School Revolution!, ran in March 2017, again with Black and White versions for the different groups. The fourth play, Lunatic Party, ran in October 2017. The fifth stage play, Rabbits Kingdom in November/December 2017, again featured Black and White versions, but in this case both versions starred both groups in the same story from different perspectives.

The production previously received a threat note in December during the fifth stage play's run that promised harm to fans if the production was not stopped. As a result, the production cancelled the sales of all merchandise and same-day tickets for the remaining performances of the play, but the final performances themselves still took place as scheduled.

The franchise already inspired vocal music CDs, duet CDs, drama CDs, a DVD of a fan festival with the cast, and an artbook. The franchise inspired a television anime in July 2016. Funimation streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

The franchise has both a male version and a female version. The male version centers around the Tokyo idol unit Six Gravity (composed of characters representing December to May) and the sibling rival unit Procellarum (composed of idols born in Western Japan and representing June to November).
