InkyPen Comics Subscription Service Launches for Switch, Lists Titles

The InkyPen comics subscription service for Nintendo Switch consoles launched in the United States, Canada, Europe, Mexico, Russia, Africa, and Australia on Tuesday. The website posted a list of the available titles, which includes the following manga:
- Masamune Shirow's Appleseed (Dark Horse Comics)
- Takashi Yano and Kendi Oiwa's Assassin's Creed: Awakening (Titan Comics)
- Masamune Shirow's Black Magic (Dark Horse Comics)
- Masamune Shirow's Dominion (Dark Horse Comics)
- Masamune Shirow's Orion (Dark Horse Comics)
- Jay.'s Sherlock (Titan Comics)
The service also some comics based on Japanese video games, such as Dark Horse's Dragon Age, IDW Publishing's Sonic the Hedgehog, and Titan Comics' Dark Souls, Tekken, and The Evil Within. It also has Titan Comics' Robotech comic and a number of IDW's Transformers comics.
The service's FAQ section acknowledges that it has very little manga currently but that it is "working on it."
The service's publishing partners include Dark Horse Comics, Titan Comics, IDW Publishing, Andrews McMeel Universal, Valiant Comics, Archie Comics, Papercutz, Dynamite, and Humanoids Inc.
The service is available for a subscription price of US$7.99 or the local equivalent. The app is in English but the staff have announced that other languages will follow.
Viz Media also launched its Shonen Jump manga subscription service this week. Comixology also offers a Comixology UNLIMITED subscription service, but only the first volumes of many of its titles are available as part of the subscription service, with additional volumes sold separately.
