Crunchyroll Streams Danmachi Season 2, Uchinoko, Yamishibai Season 7 Anime

Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that it will stream the second season of the Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? anime, the television anime adaptation of CHIROLU's If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord (Uchi no Ko no tame naraba, ore wa moshikashitara Maō mo Taoseru kamoshirenai.) light novel series, and the seventh season of the Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories television anime. Crunchyroll is also streaming trailers for the first two of those three anime.

The simulcast for Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? will debut on July 12 at 12:00 p.m. EDT.

The second anime season will premiere in Japan on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS11, and AT-X on July 12 at 24:30 (effectively July 13 at 12:30 a.m.). Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime for streaming.

The new cast members for the second season include:

Hideki Tachibana (Circlet Princess, Armed Girl's Machiavellism) will replace Yoshiki Yamakawa as director for the second season at J.C. Staff. Scriptwriter Hideki Shirane, character designer Shigeki Kimoto, sound director Jin Aketagawa, and composer Keiji Inai are all returning for the second season. Yuka Iguchi is returning to perform the second season's opening theme song "HELLO to DREAM."

The simulcast for If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord will debut on Thursday, July 4 at 12:00 p.m. EDT, and it will be available for users worldwide except in Asia.

The show will premiere on Tokyo MX and BS11 on Thursday at 11:30 p.m., before airing later on Tochigi TV, AT-X, and J:COM TV. The show will stream only on U-NEXT in Japan. The anime will have 12 episodes.

Takeyuki Yanase (Himegoto, Onsen Yōsei Hakone-chan, In Another World With My Smartphone) is directing the anime at Maho Film. Takao Yoshioka (WATAMOTE, High School DxD, Konohana Kitan) is writing and supervising the series' scripts. Hota., the artist of the novels' manga adaptation, is credited for design cooperation. Miyako Nishida, Toshihide Masudate, and Kaho Deguchi are all credited as character designers and chief animation directors. Kanon Takao will perform the show's opening theme song "I'm With You" as her character Latina, and Nobuhiko Okamoto as his character Dale will perform the ending theme song "This is Yūsha, but Zannen!?."

The simulcast for Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories will debut on Sunday, July 7 at 3:30 p.m. EDT, and it will be available for users worldwide except in Asia.

Kenichi Sugimoto of DRAWIZ is returning to direct the new anime at ILCA. Scriptwriters Ayako Yamaguchi, Hiromu Kumamoto, Kuniyoshi Saki, and Mitsuhi Sasagi are also returning. The animators include Yū Ebihara, Tatsuya Morino, Yukio Kanesada, Yoroshi Aka, Seiya Yamaguchi, Atsushi Itou, and Saya Kanamura. IANDA and DRAWIS are credited for production assistance. The artist betcover!! performs the ending theme song "Kekkai" (Barrier).

Kanji Tsuda returns to play the storyteller. The show's other cast members include: Ryota Murai, Shunsaku Yoshimura, Ryō Shinoda, Nobuhiko Ōakami, Masaki Sawai, Rimo Hasegawa, Sena Horikoshi, Hikaru Kotama, Yūki Nishinoya, Ayaka Ōta, Kumi Nakamura, Sae Izumi, Sachiko Nakagomi, Kazuo Andō, and Virtual YouTuber character Taku Nanase.

The Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories anime's first season premiered in July 2013, and the sixth and most recent season premiered last July. Crunchyroll has streamed all six 13-episode seasons as they aired so far.
