Anime Boston 2024 Announces Cosplay Guests

Cowbutt Crunchies Cosplay, CutiePieSensei, Downen Creative Studios, Ragegearprops, and Stardust Megu To Appear at the Northeast's Largest Anime Convention

BOSTON — Anime Boston, the largest anime convention in New England, announced its cosplay guests. Cowbutt Crunchies Cosplay, CutiePieSensei, Downen Creative Studios, Ragegearprops, and Stardust Megu will be appearing at Anime Boston at the Hynes Convention Center, Boston, Mass, on March 29 through 31, 2024.

Cowbutt Crunchies Cosplay is an internationally acclaimed LGBTQ+ cosplay couple specializing in couture cosplay, education, and pop culture design. Best known for their experimental mixed media builds and technique mastery, Cowbutt Crunchies Cosplay has worked with companies such as Riot Games, miHoYo, and Marvel. With over 20 years of experience, they dedicate themselves to instructing people on the art of cosplay.

Jasmine, known as CutiePieSensei, is an internationally recognized cosplayer and CCO of Fira X Wear™, a nerd pop culture clothing brand. Through her dedication, skills, and engaging content, she has made herself a beloved figure in the cosplay community. Jasmine's cosplay has been featured on Disney+ and Syfy and social media pages for Amazon Prime Video, Marvel, and more. Outside of cosplay, she is a senior concept artist and skin designer for SMITE: Battleground of the Gods.

Beverly of Downen Creative Studios is a multimedia costume creator, educator, and author of “Cosplayer's Ultimate Guide to EVA Foam.” When she isn't crafting in her Portland workshop, she travels across the country, hosting workshops and lectures to help makers of all levels refine and learn new skills. She has been featured on podcasts and print and online outlets, including Marvel.com, Tested, and more. She also founded SheProp!, an online global community for female, nonbinary, two-spirit, and transgender costume creators.

Ragegearprops is a Florida-based cosplayer with 16 years of cosplay experience and 14 years of foam prop-building experience. He has participated in cosplay contests, including masquerades, crafting contests, and humorous skit performances, and he has also been a cosplay judge himself. By learning foam prop creation from his DeviantArt days of 2008, he has created over 200 foam props over the last decade. Needless to say, his love of foam work won't end soon.

Stardust Megu (she/her) is an award-winning Black, plus-sized, and bi cosplayer and judge from NYC. She has been cosplaying since 2010 and has since competed in numerous cosplay contests. Along with craftsmanship, Megu also has a performance and theater background and is thrilled to be one of the performance judges at Anime Boston! Megu uses her platform to push for diversity in cosplay. She believes that anyone, regardless of race, body size, gender, etc., has a place in cosplay competitions.
