Angelic Layer (TV)
Aura Battler Dunbine (TV) Not really good A strange series, that almost seems a hybrid between anime and western cartoons that aired in the 70s. The story is quite mature and complex, but there is something lacking in terms of relatable characters.
Blue Gender (TV) Weak Such potential! But Blue Gender falls into the trap of taking itself too seriously, while not offering a cast of characters or a world that viewers can immerse themselves in. It's a mech-based story that's almost always without humor. The main characters, Marlene and Yuji, are grating on the nerves. Best part of BG is its end theme!

Excel Saga (TV) Worst ever This show's main character, Excel, has a voice that makes me want to lop my own ears off. If you hate someone, make them watch this show.
Final Fantasy: Unlimited (TV) Weak As an FF-fangirl, the series fell short of my expectations for a Square-Enix production. Save for the familiar FF victory theme (after battles), the presence of random battles, chocobos and summons, and the art style of some of the adult character models, FFU is nothing like its sister games. This is not to say I didn't enjoy the series to an extent--but FF fans will be more disappointed than most, and will likely lose interest. Even I did.
FLCL (OAV) Bad I know I'm in the minority, but I hate this series. With a passion.

Wolf's Rain (TV) Masterpiece From the very first episode of this startlingly moving anime, I found myself emotionally invested in the characters and their story. Created by the same team behind Cowboy Bebop, it's possible that Wolf's Rain surpasses its predecessor in beauty, intensity and depth. Although Trigun is my favorite anime and will always hold a special place in my heart, Wolf's Rain has come out of nowhere to steal my heart all over again.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files (TV) Good A fun anime that's almost like a video game in its style and presentation. Love it!

Azumanga Daioh (TV) Good Very cute anime following a group of school girls. The characters are very well-defined and appealing, the teachers are hilarious and the art-style is very pretty and colorful. This is a show that is purely for fun; a light-hearted feel-good anime. Also, this is one series that should really be seen as a sub.

Cool Devices (OAV) Not really good This hentai series is dark, perverse and, in some episodes, disturbing--but you won't be able to look away. (Well, I did look away at one point--in fact, I turned a certain episode off and still haven't gone back to watch it.) Not for the faint of heart!
Cowboy Bebop (TV) Masterpiece One of my top three favorites. Cowboy Bebop's core characters are wonderul, especially sexy Spike (the show's main star) and kooky, little Ed, and its storyline is mature, complicated and engaging. The only thing that would've made this show better was a different ending... :( That aside, however, this show is delicious!
Cowboy Bebop: The Movie Masterpiece
Golden Boy (OAV) Very good The funniest anime ever! Only six episodes long, it follows the story of a law-school drop-out who is biking cross country in the hopes of learning about life. Lots of moderate sexual humor (especially in the second half of the OAV) and I laughed out loud many times over.

Hellsing (TV)
Jing: King of Bandits (TV) Not really good This series grew on me, for its unique look and passing resemblance (in plot) to my favorite book from childhood, "The Phantom Tollbooth." The only things I absolutely hate are Jing's feathered sidekick, Kier, and the phrase Jing cries before each battle: "Give me a Kier Royalé!" Shoot that damn bird and give Jing a new weapon, damn it! Anyway, there isn't much depth to this series and by the last few episodes, I'd lost all interest.
Kiki's Delivery Service (movie) Very good Very cute and sweet, with attractive art and a light-hearted theme.
Kino's Journey (TV) Very good
Love Hina (TV)
Love Hina Again (OAV)
Princess Mononoke (movie) Very good

Sin: The Movie Decent
Tekken: The Motion Picture (OAV) So-so
Trigun (TV) Masterpiece This is my all-time favorite anime, mixing humor, action and drama, along with some wonderful characters, to make for an excellent series for adults. Its main character, Vash the Stampede, is complex, goofy, hilarious, loveable, powerful, endearing, mysterious and tragic all at once. The dialogue is slighty stilted and cliched, and the animation is a bit stiff and relies on a bit of SD early on in the series, but Trigun's strength is its quartet of main characters, and it's ability to present to audiences such complicated heroes as Vash and Wolfwood.
Vampire Hunter D (OAV) Decent
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (movie) Decent
