So far what's the best extra you recieve when you brought an anime related product.
I'm thinking of picking up the Rahxephon movie Limited edition, but the extra is just a 40 page book about behind the scene with the box.
I'm thinking the Wolf's Rain vol 1 LE extra (soundtrack + plushie) is probably the best investment. Also the plushie is highly valuable and can nab you 20 buck for it easily.

Thus far, I'd have to say the booklet that came with the Rahxephon movie was the best. It was pretty detailed and could help clear up some things plot-wise for people. The box the movie comes in is also much higher quality than the previous box for the series. That older box is now being put to good use holding all of my Steel Angel Kurumi DVD's. At a close second and third would be the decoder and T-shirt that came with the Noir box set. Try as I might, my naked eyes could never decipher more than a couple of words out of those obscured messages printed on the backs of the DVD booklets. Satisfaction at last!!!

The Wolf's Rain CD I got with the Boxset and Kiba plushie.
Truly a great deal pricewise. I listen to the CD every few days and I just cant get over how a good a series this is turning out to be.

Slightly off-topic.
I bought the OST for the Nadesico movie 2 years back and it came with the continuity script (storyboards). Cool.

The best set of extras I've ever seen on a DVD movie was in the Akira Special Edition (the one in the metal case), which includes nearly 2 hours of behind-the-scenes stuff (with its own chapter and subtitling options!), over 2,700 images, assorted trailers for the movie, a glossary that spans both the movie and the manga, and a "capsule" option which allows you to get translations of on-screen text not normally available when you're watching the dub. Grave of the Fireflies is probably the runner-up, with one of its extras being a comparison between snapshots of modern-day Kobe sites and the way they looked in the anime during WWII.
The best series for extras is probably Excel Saga. The "ADV Notes" pop-up feature present on all discs, which when activated works like VH1's Pop-Up Videos, is probably the single best extra I've seen on any anime DVD to date. The DVDs for the series in general are packed with lots of neat surprises, including the "find the mint" game on one DVD. Other series that do really well for on-disc extras are Gasaraki, sCRYed, and Steel Angel Kurumi.
The hidden alternate scene takes on the Kiddy Grade DVDs are another neat feature, as are the alternative legal warnings on the Full Metal Panic! DVDs. The liner note glossaries that come with the Twelve Kingdoms DVDs are absolutely indispensible, as are the detailed liner notes with FLCL. And the Colorful DVD is almost worth getting just for the wacky "Colorful Exposed!" behind-the-scenes mockumentary, where various ADV production personnel and voice actors get to really poke fun at themselves and their jobs.
The single oddest extra I've ever seen on an anime DVD has to be the "English With Weird Subtitles" option on the Puni Puni Poemy DVD. (Sorry, I won't explain this one. You have to see it to appreciate it.)
I also just finished watching vol. 3 of Texhnolyze. It has some damn funny "alternate vocal" outtakes.

Yeah, There's alot of BGMs and sound comics on the discs. I really enjoyed those. The same production team did Infinite ryvius and had some good extras on those discs as well.

Probably the isolated score on Arjuna. You can turn off the dialoge. And if you have it you computer, the picture as well and just let the Yoko Kanno goodness soak through.
Also the directors commentary of Wings of Honeamise. You don't just hear about that movie but also the early days of Gainax, which is really interesting.
All the best,
Nani?

I have to say .hack//Sigh and it in it's over sized box. OST, Grulty (sp)doll, T-Shirt, .hack//Infection demo disc, 3 or 4 postcards, I'm pretty sure it came with a DVD of Vol 1.
As for DVD extra, Excel Saga Vol 2, hands down. I sure can use some Menchi Chow right now.

What?!?!?
I've seen (and I'm not sure you can call these bootlegs) anime kiddy clothing all over the place in Singapore. Not licensed stuff like Sanrio's Hello Kitty aprons, or other stuff but just kiddy clothes with anime prints. But I've never seen anime panties. Not in my life. Not yet.
Come to think of it, my son has got some Crayon Shin-chan PJs.

WEll it sound cool. I'm always into interesting facts and usually like to listen audio commentary to all my movies. I just thought the book was just a tack on stuff with a couple of concept art and stuff.

Yup, the panties are just white panties and they're more of a gimmick since the show has a lot of panties shot. Any guy or girl ever worn these panties? Like for Cosplaying or something?
Yea I was fairly interestd in the Witch Hunter Shotglass. Seem that they're selling the complete boxset though. Something I could really used.
