I just finished watching Crest of the Stars on TechTV. Here is what I think. It had some slow spots, but overall, I really liked it!!! I really liked the plot. If you read my other thread, you will notice what I like about it in more detail. Overall, I would give it a 9/10. Next up: Serial Experiments Lain, since TechTV is showing that next. Also coming up will be my first anime movie. Either Akira or Ghost in the Shell. Anime fandom, here I come!!!

*L* There are 3 more parts of the Crest of the Stars series. They release the 1st volume of the 2nd part of the series sometime this month.

Ataru, does the *L* mean laughs? Ok, ne way, if you like the english version of Crest, then get the DVD and watch the sub, I beg of you! It's SO much better!

I haven't seen much of Lain, and don't remember what i saw, but hopefully they'll get better dubs. What happened, Bandai? You used to be so good...you've changed, Bandai...

The prices on anime DVDs are outrageous!!!! They are very expensive and include only a few episodes and little, if any, special features!!! That is not why I am going to buy anime very often.

If you look around online you can usually find decent prices. But then again, you'll save the most money by buying box sets.

If you just keep an eye on regular outlets you can find some good deals. Just today at FYE I got Excel Saga 2 and 3 (4 eps each) for $20 each and Zone of Enders 1 (5 eps)for $15 all on DVD. Very Happy

Yeah, lately I been shopping more at Fye then Suncoast, mostly Suncoast would charge $25 for a DVD that would cost $20 at Fye, but the Repley Club does give some nice size posters and other little goodies.
