It looks interesting. I'd watch it if/when its released in the US. Although I can't say I'm liking the 3D dogfights. They remind me too much of The Sky Crawlers, which I hated.

Seconded, I think I'll end up watching this too, eventually. I think the character designs are attractive, but the whole 3D dogfights thing gets me for the same reason.
I really wasn't that interested in this but seeing that trailer has sparked some for me because of the character designs, I feel like a total type-B fan saying that though.
Wonder when the "I thought this was another spinoff" posts will begin

Though the temptation exists to compare this with certain films using aircraft as plot devices, I am more interested in the similarity of appearance between the lead heroine and Aina from Gundam: the 08th MS Team.
