If ZUN ever went to a Texas con I would definitely go. Atlanta is too far.

Hey! I'll have you know there are lots of reasons to come to Atlanta! Like...um...liiiiiiike........whale sharks?

In all seriousness, I'm as baffled as you are, but it's happening and I live here and I'm ecstatic about it so I may as well just go with it. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say the fact that the Touhou panels at each of the three Atlanta-area anime conventions (how we have three is even more baffling!) are always surprisingly large draws may have played a part. Touhou anything at AWA, Momocon, & SeishunCon never fails to pack a room.

Really want to make a long trip just to see a drunk man? If half of the rumors are true, ZUN will be stumbling around like a drunken lout and making a fool of himself half the time.

Dragon*Con is nerd Mardi Gras. You go once, and every year after that you're spending the entire next year recovering and planning your return trip to some degree. Quite likely the most fun weekend of the year. Laughing

ZUN at Dragon*Con would be trouble. The best kind of trouble.
