The original series did end in 2008 @ 48 volumes.

But since 2009 there is "remake" it seems, or a sequel or sorts not sure, that is the Azumi that is ending.

Hm, odd it's not on my anime list.. I'm interested in seeing some scans if there is any.

Correction: Its a remake, the one that is finishing...maybe, its referred as Azumi 2, a remake and a sequel, not sure, the japanese wikipedia refers as part 2 that started being serialized on 2009 till now... a site refers 17 volumes but maybe its wrong, I see only 11 volumes so far...

I didn't even realize this was a manga until some months ago after I watched the first live action movie. But I wouldn't have never thought that the series was still going.

Yeah, I have yet to get around to that film (provided I can find a copy for rent) but the reviews on it wasn't all that great. But that's for me to decided. Surprised
