Yes! More STB is great for the world. Now to wait for Risa to return. Guess the future of STB will be OVA,s now.

Kind of surprised they keep foregoing a proper season instead of just going for OVA's, but I guess the production committee probably has some kind of sense in it.

It's great that Risa Taneda was able to recover in time to be able to reprise Yukina again (given she's already reprising Xenovia in the latest High School DxD season) Smile .

"The season will cover up to volume 17 of Gakuto Mikumo's original light novel series, or the end of the "Holy War" (Seisen) arc."

Are you sure this info is correct, because Vol 15 was stated as the end of the arc. Also, Vol17 was technically already covered by the first season's two last episodes. It started out as anime-original episodes but the author later decided to expand and modify that story in the LN.

I wish someone would license all these OVA's for R1.

They seem to be making more money with OVA's.

First thing I thought as well. At least the novels are getting released so at least us Western barbarians can keep up with the story

It's both -- Dengeki Bunko's editor for the light novel series indicated at the event that the new anime will cover up to volume 17 of Gakuto Mikumo's original light novel series, as well as the end of the "Holy War" (Seisen) arc.

Hosoya was also under treatment for months, so it's good thing that STB production committee decided to wait for main characters voice actors recovery. Unlike some you know who.

Always happy to hear about Risa Taneda reprising her roles. I was so worried about her during her hiatus. By the way, Rina Hidaka shared a photo on twitter of her and Risa promoting the new STB ova if anyone is interested:

Great news. I was pleasantly surprised to see the 2nd season come out, so I'll now be patiently waiting for the 3rd.
Hopefully this will manage to get licensed at some point.

Crunchyroll apparently has the license for Strike the Blood II, though it looks like they've done absolutely nothing with it so far (not even stream it). Hopefully something will happen at some point.
