Sad to see that Linked Horizon won't return for the fourth OP, but considering the change in tone for the next 2 arcs that should comprise season 3, a change in OP artists isn't unwarranted. Looking forward to hearing the new OP in a couple of weeks!

Wait wait wait... what? No Linked Horizon?

This should be interesting... Not sure what to make of this. It won't feel the same, that's for sure.

Well that sucks Linked Horizon was one of my favorite things about the AOT Anime series and although it’s sad that they won’t be returning for the third season I’m still excited for more AOT.

Glad to hear that Hyde is featuring for the OP of Attack on Titan. I'm a big fan of his band L'Arc~En~Ciel. Some of the songs of his band is the opening of Fullmetal Alchemist. I can't wait to hear the opening.

That was my first thought. I'm not sad about it at all. Can't wait to hear it (I'm gonna wait till the theater showing on Tues...I ain't spoiling nothing for myself. Razz )

But Linked Horizon will be missed regardless.

Holy crap, X Japan doing an OP, that's amazing. I really got into them after watching Kohaku the last few New Year's.

On the other hand, does having Hyde as the vocalist mean no Toshi, or are the two of them harmonizing?

Also, go watch We Are X if you haven't already.

Excellent taste as always. Wink

I would honestly not mind x japan replacing jam project for another muv-luv i think the music would fit quite well.

I love Revo but this is God-tier music. X Japan is legendary, even to 80s/90s American metal bands. Hyde is pretty amazing too. Great combo! I would have to link to "Art of Life" as one of my favorite songs of all time...though it is super long Anime hyper https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OP6jEdUQeZg

Are they sure its the OP? I mean, Overlord had MYTH&ROID's Hydra in the first ep, but that became the ED while Go Cry Go by OxT was the opening, so they could be pulling something similar here and Linked Horizon is still the OP artist.

Sidenote: Funimation has the streaming rights for AU/NZ? Does this mean it wont be on AnimeLab? Sad

X Japan is a world-class band that has held a concert as Madison Square Garden. Opening theme is a more coveted position than ending theme. There's no way they'd put X Japan on ending theme unless they're ALSO doing the opening.
