It would be awesome if we were required to perform take off when starting a mission and landing after the mission (and yes, losing the mission if we crashed during landing). And maybe even landing in mid-mission to refuel/restock missiles/repairs.

Since it's been awhile since I have played anything Ace Combat.. last being infinity.
If memory serves me right.. there were missions in 5 that you had the option to take off and land.. including on a carrier. And in 6 most missions had a line you could cross to rearm/resupply. And at least 1 in 6 where you aerial refueled. but yeah I'm with you if these remain. |

Yeah, there are a number of missions where you can take off or land in both 5 and 0 (I forget about 4), and one of the most memorable take offs in 5 is off of a carrier. Plus landing to rearm and repair after crossing a return line in a couple of missions, which definitely happens in both as well. Both also had a mission where you refueled aerially as well. However, you can also press Start just to skip the sequence with no penalty save for a points bonus (and therefore credits you can use to buy new planes) you miss out on, but only a couple thousand worth. |
