I'd watch this anime, if only for the opportunity to react to various events with a "Dangit, Dale."

Oh no.
Not this one.
I absolutely loved the early arcs of this series but...
spoiler[It goes in the same direction as Usagi Drop which is really unsettling]
Why are shows so hard to stay consistently good/interesting?
Sigh guess I'm just gonna have to wait for season 3 of Usagi desu ka? Razz

@Calsolum: Thank you for the heads up. All my enthusiasm for this project potentially being a heartwarming found family story just went down in flames. Maybe next time... Rolling Eyes

Such a cute story! I've always liked these "guy suddenly becomes a dad to world's cutest kid" stories. They always feel genuine and heartwarming! Can't wait to watch!

One warning about the light novels if anyone's curious and wants to check out the series for themselves: spoiler[ The series pulls a "Usagi Drop" later on in the series. The early parts of the series are fine, though. I don't know how far into the books the anime will go, but I hope it's more like Usagi Drop the anime than Usagi Drop the manga. Just a warning so you know what to expect. ]

I really wish I didn't have to kill your enthusiasm but I really wish I knew what I know now before I started reading the series on J-Novel Club.
Heck, I liked the early parts so much I even bought the digital version even though I hate digital only stuff.
Now I have it sitting in my digital library and I can't even pass it off to someone who'd be genuinely interested in the story's direction.

Hopefully the anime will follow Bunny Drop's lead and end before the eye-gouging awfulness sets in.

Agreed. 12-13 episodes is rather short for this series though...I might be wrong, maybe it can have several story arcs in that span of time?

Never saw Usagi Drop. Would anyone mind enlightening me on why it went downhill?

Super excited for this since I really enjoy the manga and have been wanting to read the light novels. I don't give really care about if its like Usagi Drop or not since I actually liked the manga for Usagi Drop (Forbidden love is something I like in fiction).

I think the issue is more the fact spoiler[an (admittedly fairly young) man raises a 6-9 year old girl as father-daughter only for them both to view each other as love interests after she reaches marriageable age.] That's where many consider it icky territory, for understandable reasons.

I look forward to this adaptation, nonetheless.

i could see if they were blood related or if they hook up while one of them is underage but if it isnt those 2 conditions who gives a crap if they fall in love later in life, nothing icky about it. (Removed insult --Crisha)
