If that's the case then they must really hate Funimation as well

Error. The problem with VIZ is that they don't work with Crunchyroll. That's why we have to wait until Televix decides to dub the series as they did with the first season.

Respecting Funimation, it's an entirely different story.

Crunchyroll has streamed plenty of Viz shows before like Naruto, Bleach, Sailor Moon Crystal, and they currently simulcast Boruto on Crunchyroll.

Crunchyroll received none of those shows from Viz. They got them direct from Toei and TV Tokyo, as stated in the publisher field:

https://www.crunchyroll.com/naruto
https://www.crunchyroll.com/naruto-shippuden
https://www.crunchyroll.com/boruto-naruto-next-generations
https://www.crunchyroll.com/bleach
https://www.crunchyroll.com/sailor-moon-crystal

Compare those with these:

https://www.crunchyroll.com/bang-dream
https://www.crunchyroll.com/samurai-pizza-cats
https://www.crunchyroll.com/slam-dunk-dub

Viz's preferred streaming partner in the U.S. is Hulu, who they've signed multiple exclusivity agreements with. One Punch Man season 2 being one of them. As Hulu doesn't operate outside the states and because Viz doesn't care, that usually means every country in the Americas that isn't the U.S. gets ignored.

With VME signing this Crunchyroll deal, I'm pretty sure Canada is now the only major English-speaking market without any kind of OPM S2 simulcast option. I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed.

*sigh* I wish it were on CR in the US. Guess I won't be watching it for a while. Hulu isn't a bad streaming service, but it's one I had to put on pause until I get back to work and have money again. I really don't like anime streaming becoming so split up like this. It used to be simpler. =/
