Sounds like maybe Kore was looking for Hades' helm of invisibility, so she could hide from her mother when things get tense.

I’ll have to check this out; a lot of retellings make Persephone sickly sweet, so it’s nice to see a different approach. I am curious about the Medusa change, as I always felt Medusa got a raw deal even by Greek myth standards.
