Initial reactions from screenings are universally positive. Now if only Lorenzo could shut up about forcibly connecting them to the Bay movies.

I will give them credit for putting a lot more emphasis on the "Orion Pax and Megatron being buds before they become archenemies" backstory that is usually just in the setting rather than something we've actually seen play out outside comics.
So if I'm understanding correctly the Decepticons are the lingering resistance against the Quintessons who are still fighting them on the surface and join up with the main cast to completely defeat them. The only problem comes from Megatron getting radicalized and believing that everything needs to get burned down so he takes over the Decepticons and goes full evil. And then the last fight of the movie is Orion getting the Matrix, becoming Optimus Prime, and fending off the now rogue Decepticons under Megatron before Megatron eventually retreats and we get the beginning of the Great War. I will say Hemsworth sounds okay. I wasn't sold on the "Transform and Roll Out" compared to other Prime VA's. I am happy they worked in Megatron saying "Rise Up" as he rallies the 'Cons. Elita and Airachnid getting the designated girl fight (not really fighting the Arcee comparisons in that respect). |

I get it's a kid film but there seems to be way too much quips that should legally be allowed in Transformers.
